Stacey Younge, LCSW

We all face times when we are overwhelmed by major life changes or decisions, or experience sadness or depression for long periods of time that can make engaging in work and social activities difficult. Past traumas can also affect us in ways we don't expect, requiring a little help to process. My practice uses a strengths-based approach to work through challenges together. I believe that we are all the experts of our own experiences, and I use this philosophy to help my clients achieve their goals.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience and whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or are seeking someone new, you can trust that we will provide a nonjudgemental, welcoming, anti-racist environment to get you moving on your journey. Together, we will focus on your personal strengths to develop healthy coping skills and problem solving methods to use as lifelong tools. I specialize in depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma/PTSD, racial trauma, systems-based oppression trauma and issues related to adolescents and young adulthood.

In addition to Sixth Street, I have an extensive background in mental health work with justice involved individuals and have served as a clinician to those returning home from the prison system. I also provide training around engagement, trauma and self care to community organizations around NYC.
